H.P. Lovecraft's The Terrible Old Man
The final short which I Directed as part of my Master's thesis was an adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's short story, The Terrible Old Man.
Principle photography took place in October 2016 & the 'Festival edit' was completed by Alasdair McWilliams of Amber Crane Media in time for my submission cut off. .
The original editor had to pull out of the project, so in 2018 I finished a very different version which is closer to my original vision.
Both versions were submitted to around 20 festivals between 2017 & 2020 & are available to watch on Amazon Prime in the UK & U.S. (links below are for UK):
Festival Edit
Directors Cut
I still post updates on Facebook for this project & other things Lovecraftian: The Terrible Old Man
If you are interested in how the story evolved during the writing process, you can check out a couple of the screenplays.
